With a surface area of 135,000 m 2 , the new building is able to accommodate 9,000 people daily. It also includes 3,200 m 2 of public reception area, a 28 meter high lobby/waiting area of 5,500 m 2 , a dedicated 9,400 m 2 area for 90 hearing rooms and 1 hectare of urban forest. With a stack of four glass parallelepipeds culminating at 160 meters with 38 floors, this makes it one of the largest architectural projects in Paris and the largest courthouse in Europe.
