Building a Global South UN-Habitat is quite explicit: the large urban areas of tomorrow will develop mainly in low-income countries in Africa and Asia. In these regions of the world, solutions are emerging to build the housing and infrastructure needed to accommodate these new populations. By developing sustainability in the context of limited financial resources, the countries of the Global South are creating sustainable construction according to their own vision.
