CONSTRUCTING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Thirst for training and information Information and training on sustainable construction remain crucial for all stakeholders who want to fully understand all its elements, in order to contribute to its further development. While 64% say they are sufficiently informed, only 26% feel they are fully trained on the subject. But the will is there: 79% have already benefited from sustainable construction training or intend to undertake it. Total No: Informed : Percentage of the population feelingmore or less informed about sustainable construction: 64% 36% Yes, very much so Yes, somewhat No, not really No, not at all Obstacles to be lifted Being part of a sustainable construction approach is a real paradigm shift. The implementation of certain materials, techniques, measurements and certifications is, for many, synonymous with constraints. For 70%of participants, cost is the main obstacle. However, many are aware that the return on investment of sustainable construction is not simply financial, but also includes the human impact, such as health benefits. And it seems that a majority of respondents consider there to be sufficient evidence of the usefulness of sustainable construction: only 28% said they find the evidence to be insufficient.
