To be sure that a building is truly sustainable, it must be certified under a scheme such as EDGE from the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiency is a free tool and certification scheme used in 100 different countries that has so far supported and enabled over $80 billion in investment throughout the world. In Mexico City, Torre Reforma was developed through a combination of blended finance, involving property developers, private investors and the construction industry.
