Constructing a Sustainable Future #3

MOROCCO Modern civil engineering reaches new heights MOHAMMED VI TOWER IN RABAT. Rising to a height of 250 meters, the tower was designed to be visible from a distance of 50 kilometers. With a total surface area of 102,800 m2, it looks like it’s standing on a podium like a rocket on its launch pad. In addition to its impressive stature, the Mohammed VI Tower is a showcase for modern civil engineering and meets the strictest environmental standards. It was awarded the prize for “Best performance for an engineering project” in the “Caminos Madrid 2022” competition, in particular due to the use – over and above lightweight construction solutions – of more than 48,000 m2 of fluid cement screed to ensure robustness and durability. © Said Mrigua
