UNITED STATES When construction chemicals reinvent concrete DELAWARE MEMORIAL BRIDGE. This is the first bridge in the United States to feature the use of Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC). Water-reducing admixtures have tripled the compressive strength of the concrete compared with traditional mixes, considerably reducing the weight of the structure while achieving the same levels of performance and durability.
