NETHERLANDS Designed to allow complete disassembly TRIODOS BANK AT DE REEHORST. Devised by RAU Architects, this office complex has been designed as a materials bank: all material components have been indexed and referenced on the Madaster platform, so that they can be reused if the building has to be demolished. “Assembled with 165,312 screws, the building can be dismantled completely with 100% activable circular potential,” says its architect Thomas Rau. Triodos Bank is the first timber office building that can be completely disassembled: it has been awarded BREEAM outstanding certification and received several awards such as the 2020 Architecture MasterPrize™ in the Green Architecture category. © Marcel van der Burg, Ossip van Duivenbode
